The opening of MiddleFaire is just a few days away, and we are so excited to be at this faire for the first time. I personally can't wait to be at another really good faire and to be able to list them among the faires that we want to be at each year.
Please come out to Hillsboro, Tx  on the 27th and 28th and also October 4th and 5th and share in the fun.! We hope to see you there!

This is the day for announcements it seems. We would like to announce that we will also be vending at MiddleFaire in Hillsboro, Tx. The dates are September 27th and 28th, and October 4th and 5th. Their web site is http://www.middlefest.com/
They are about 45 mins to an hour south of Dallas off I-35. This is an established faire and should be a grand time for all.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that we will be vending at the Messina Italian Renaissance & Wine Festival in Bristow, Ok on September 20th. This is a first year, one day faire and it is FREE!!! It is being held from 10am to 6pm at the Bristow City Park. For more information, check out their web site at

I am writing this to let all of our Renaissance family and friends to beware of this person.

This is not to be malicious to the person, it is written with the sole intent to inform other groups of performers that this person will try to discredit and make slanderous remarks toward any and all parties she is involved with.

Debbie May, aka Daylight, and formerly known (for a very short time) as Bloodstone of The Ladies of the Salty Kiss, joined the Kiss during their run at the Lawton Ren Fest (June 7^th, 8^th, 14^th, 15^th, ) of this year. She wanted to perform with the Kiss, but did not want to follow the Kiss rules when it came to costuming, and personal conduct. As we all know there is a certain amount of money that we all put forth towards fuel, water, food and such. She put forth all the items needed for the second weekend of Lawton of her own accord, before anyone else had the oportunity to purchase anything  but then complained about  covering all the expenses that were a responsibility of all of us.

She has since made offers and requests to members of the Kiss and after completion of her end of it, again complained that she has done this act for someone. You don’t volunteer to do something (even if it involves money), and then constantly complain that you did it. After not liking the PERIOD bodice that was made for her, she made a request for another member of the group (also a business owner/bodice maker); to make her a new one but could not wait for a response before asking someone else to do it. In addition to her constant fluttering about, she claims to be an ordained minister and WILL preach to you if given the oportunity. Not all of us believe as she does and she will argue her point and views of god, and then tell others how you don’t believe as she does.

She is looking for a free ride into faire, claims to be a performer, but admittedly has no experience what so ever(she claims that she has been commissioned to follow Lady Grace of Muskogee around, but can produce nothing to back this claim up). She has broken from the group at faire to go off and flirt and conducts herself in a manner unbecoming of a performance group. When this was brought to her attention, she completely blew it off. After only being a Kiss for two weeks and only having performed for 2days, she has posted that she is looking for a group to perform with and that she has performance experience. She did not, nor has not stated that she is leaving the group, but as of the 27^th of June, posted that she is looking for another group.

I do not want anyone to go through what we have already been through with Debbie and this being so I am warning any and all of our friends who are performers that she will offer money, time, and friendship, and then lie and complain about it all.

With hopes for a few more vending ventures before the end of fall, we are looking at vending MiddleFaire, Hillboro, Tx.......A ren and wine first year fair in Bristow , Ok...and the Izumicon 2008 in Midwest City, Ok. With these in mind they will bring us to our break to restock before Scarlet's Midwinter Fest in January. If we can do all three of these, it will bring us to six vending opportunities this year. Not bad for a company that is just about a year old.

We will keep you abreast of where we will be next and what adventures it brings us.
